A contender for the coolest spot on 5th in Sunset Park, El Rey del Pescado checks all the boxes. Great staff. Fantastic cocktails at reasonable prices. Excellent seafood elevated by homemade tortillas. Cool atmosphere that makes terrific use of what was once, believe it or not, a big empty shoestore. A nice backyard. Get some tacos, get the whole fried snapper, get a mezcal cocktail, and rock out at El Rey.

Save a trip to Mexico City. In a neighborhood like sunset park there are many good Mexican restaurants but these tacos are the real deal. Everything is fresh and you can not find something like this anywhere. The drink menu has many different options and everything was great. Service was great and you can tell they care about their customers.

Very nice new spot in sunset park. The place is decorated as the inside of a ship and the crew (see what I did there? Lol) wears stripped shirts and sailor hats. Full bar with sports playing on tv and indie/rock music blasting. The bartender, Irina, is very knowledgeable and makes great crafted drinks. The food is amazing if you're craving good tacos!

AH amazing! Drinks are some of the greatest drinks I've ever had no kidding! The bartender is a beast! Also had a crab quesadilla the quality of the crab was great. Also the quesadilla was not greasy and you could taste all of the flavors. Definitely going will we back probably every 2 weeks!

I came here last night for dinner. The food was great. I'm a huge fan of mezcal and the cocktails are on point! The server was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. She was so cute; I think she's Colombian:) I will definitely be returning!
